How long is your warranty?

 

All new parts and rebuilt parts come with a 12 month, unlimited mileage warranty.  All used parts come with a 3 month warranty.  The warranty period begins on the date of the original invoice.

 

What should I do if I need to warranty a part?

 

Please contact us so that we can provide you with a Return Authorization Number (RA#).  To expedite this process, please have your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and current mileage on the car readily available.  Your salesman will go over your options with you and will give you your Return Authorization Number.  Once you’ve received your RA#, write it on the outside of the package and ship the item back to by any trackable method you prefer. 

 

Do I really need a Return Authorization Number?

 

The Return Authorization Number is very important.  That number tells us exactly what is in the package and which customer account it applies to.  Due to the large quantity of packages we receive on a daily basis, having that information is a very important part of expediting the warranty process.  If the RA# is not clearly marked on your package, your warranty claim may be delayed or refused.

 

What does your warranty cover?

 

Our warranty only covers the part(s) purchased.  Warranties do not cover installation charges or any type of consequential damage that may occur.  Warranty coverage does not extend to failure resulting from improper installation, failure of a related component or failure resulting from abuse.  In no case will Coventry West’s liability exceed the original purchase price of the part. 

 

Your return policy indicates you do not accept returns on certain parts.  What if the part I need to warranty is not returnable?

 

Don’t worry.  Warranties are handled separately and are not subject to the same restrictions as part returns.  We stand behind the quality of our products. 

 

Is there anything else I need to know about your warranty?

  • Coventry West will either provide an identical replacement part of similar quality as the originally purchased part or repair the defective part so as to be deemed functional, at our discretion.  Our sales staff will communicate this when you call to obtain your Return Authorization #.

  • Refunds are not issued for warranty part(s) unless a suitable replacement is not available and repair is not possible for the part(s) in question.

  • Extended warranties are available on certain used items.  Please contact our sales staff for more information about our extended warranties.
